Jira
Set up the Jira connector in AccessLayer.
Jira is Atlassian's work tracking platform for issues, projects, sprints, and team workflows.
In AccessLayer, the Jira connector lets you query Jira projects, issues, users, and related metadata for reporting and operational analysis.
Before you start
You will need Atlassian credentials for the Jira site you want to query.
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- An Atlassian API token
- The email address for the Atlassian account that owns that token
- Your Jira site host, such as
your-domain.atlassian.net
For additional details, see the Atlassian API token documentation.
Project access required
Use an Atlassian account that already has access to the Jira projects and issues you want AccessLayer to read.
Generating your credentials
Create an Atlassian API token
Go to your Atlassian account security settings, open API tokens, and create a new token.
Copy the account email
Use the email address for the same Atlassian account that created the token. This is the email you will enter when configuring the connector.
Find your Jira host
Open your Jira site in the browser and copy just the host from the URL, for
example your-domain.atlassian.net. Do not include https:// or any path.
Troubleshooting
Confirm that the Atlassian account used for the token has access to the Jira projects and data you want to query.
Check whether the API token was revoked, expired, or replaced. If so, create a new token and update the connector configuration in AccessLayer.
Make sure you entered only the Atlassian host, such as
your-domain.atlassian.net, without https:// or any other path.
